Starfish typically have five eyes, and each of these eyes contains around 120 photoreceptors, allowing them to sense light and detect their surroundings.
It's fascinating that male seahorses are the ones who become pregnant, carry the developing embryos, and give birth to the offspring.
As for the coral reefs, many reef-building corals are indeed hermaphrodites, meaning they have both male and female reproductive organs within the same individual. This allows them to reproduce both sexually and asexually, through budding or fragmentation.
This painting captures a tranquil and serene scene of the life processes of the reef and other amazing creatures that inhabit it. While working on this artwork, I aimed to immerse the viewer in a state reminiscent of being an underwater observe - silence, slowness, and a vivid diversity of underwater life forms. The longer the viewer gazes at this scene, the more three-dimensional and deep it appears.
