A lily rests on still water at the height of summer noon. The pond reflects the sun and the faint outline of a human figure.A passerby, perhaps. Or someone seeking peace in a quiet garden. The flower floats, serene and unsoiled - a soul present in the world, yet untouched by it. Like the lotus of the Gita, it meets the surface without absorbing its weight - a symbol of purity, inner freedom, and the unshakable self.
This piece was inspired by a moment of stillness in the Gardenia Shevardnadze in Tbilisi, Geeorgia
