Viktor Tsoi was the voice of a generation whose music resonated through the chaos of change and still echoes today.
His gaze is not turned to the past or the future, but inward into himself.
This portrait was inspired by the experience of listening not only to his words, but to the guitar interludes between them, where the message lingered and deepened. It captures a moment of looking up - not to an idol, but to someone who led by presence and stood for strength, clarity, and defiance.
The use of gold and silver acrylic on a black background evokes the atmosphere of old concert recordings - grainy, flickering, imperfect - like memories replayed on worn-out tapes. This contrast mirrors how Tsoi’s presence continues to shine through time and loss, like flashes of light in the dark.
