After a brief and enigmatic mating ritual, the female lays her eggs, then ceases to eat, gradually losing her mind as she guards them. She self-destructs. And dies.
Yet the young emerge. This cycle - mysterious, haunting, and irreversible - speaks of the extreme cost of creation.
